  • Red Cherry Shrimp in Acidic Water

    For the last few months I have had some Red Cherry Shrimp in an aquarium that was intended for Crystal Red Shrimp. I set it up with Aqua Soil Amazonia and quite a few plants and mosses. I keep the pH right around 6.0 and have some interesting observations for the Red Cherries!

  • Cherry Shrimp sold out!

    As of today all of the Cherry Shrimp are sold out!  BUT WAIT (I always wanted to say that) there is good news.  Over the last week there has been large amounts of shrimp hatching.
     
    These are 1-3 day old shrimp and there are hundreds of them all over the aquarium.  They should be ready to sell [...]

    It has been a few months since I transferred my Cherry Shrimp population to their new larger aquarium and the population is beginning to explode.  It seems that almost every female is berried!
