I have just finished setting up my Fluval Edge 6 gallon aquarium.

This aquarium will be used as to house Tiger Shrimp. It has Aquasoil Amazonia as the substrate, a fair amount of driftwood and a decent size java fern.
The filtration is provided by the stock hang-on-back filter and I added a sponge pre-filter to prevent baby shrimp from getting sucked up and killed.
Lighting is provided by the 2 stock lights (not good for plants) and a 10 watt power compact florescent that I have retrofitted to the aquarium. I will be replacing the stock lights with LED lights that are 6700k for better plant growth and a more pleasing appearance soon.
All substrate and wood came from established aquariums so there will be no cycle time at all. I am going to watch the parameters for a few days to see if anything swings and then add some shrimp!
