		<description>I noticed the same thing with my cherries.  In tap water with lots of moss, they were breeding like crazy and loving it.

Now they&#039;re in with 7 CBS with an environment intended for crystals, pH lower than 6.5 with ADA and they haven&#039;t bred in months.</description>

The one brown shrimp has contaminated the gene pool.  To keep the red color they have to be in an aquarium with no other shrimp that can breed with them!</description>

I keep cherry shrimp in a heavily planted tank along with SAE&#039;s, Tetra&#039;s and Clown Loach.

I bought 10 very red shrimp and one very brown almost black.

They breed all the time, and i now have hundreds, but i have noticed that most of the young are clear, they lose their red and revert back.

pH 6.3
Temp 26 degC
KH 140mg/l
