Tiger Shrimp Have a New Home

I attended the Global Pet Expo this year and while walking the aquatic section I ran across an aquarium that I just had to have. So I talked to a rep and picked one up. It is the Fluval Edge.

I already have FAR more than enough aquariums but the vast majority of them are for breeding are not really “show quality”. So I figured I would put this aquarium somewhere visible in my home, unlike the rest of my aquariums that are hidden away in the hatchery.

I decided to set the aquarium up for Tiger Shrimp and maybe a few Yellow Shrimp females (I don’t want the Yellow Shrimp to over run the aquarium). I used Aquasoil Amazonia II, to help control the pH and hardness, and quite a bit of small drift wood.

The Tiger Shrimp are now happy in their new home!

I will be posting a review of the Edge in about a month once I some experience with it!

The tank looks amazing! Really unique to have a sealed environment (I’m new to this so easily impressed). Keep up good work!
