New Farmer, All shrimp hiding

I received Shrimp (RCS) 10/31/2013. The first 2 days I would occasionally see 1-2 shrimp. Now I don't see any. What do I do? I checked the filter and found no bodies. I've read that they are really good at hiding, but at what point should I be concerned? I had a fish feeder pellet in the tank, and have added the occasional fish flake.

Here are my tank stats:

Evolve 4 (4 gallon)
10 RCS
pH: 6.8
Ammonia: < 0.2 ppm
Temp: 78 deg. F

I'm just looking for a simple desktop shrimp system. I know my system is tiny in comparision to what I have read on here.

Hey man....welcome to the forum.

I wonder why you have ANY ammonia? Is your tank cycled? How long?

Anyways, they DO like to hide...but in a 4 gallon tank, I would think you should see them easier. Is it heavily planted or do they have a lot of places to hide?
Also, make sure the fish food doesn't contain copper.

any fish in the tank that might eat them?
