Hygrophila Corymbosa
Hygrophila corymbosa, hailing from Asia, emerges as a low-maintenance introductory plant for aquarium enthusiasts. Within the tank, it proliferates rapidly, unfurling bright green leaves of considerable length and breadth.
This fast-growing species demands frequent pruning to maintain its shape. As new shoots emerge from the stem, the plant takes on a bushier appearance. Cuttings can be easily replanted into the substrate, where they swiftly develop new roots.
When acquiring a bundle of stems or young plants, they often come anchored together. Separating them and removing the anchor allows for individual planting. For stem plants, trimming the lowest 5 cm (2") of leaves and discarding any damaged foliage is recommended. Plant each individual with adequate spacing in the substrate, facilitating root development and subsequent growth.
